- Where do we play?
- Golden Gate Park Tennis complex in San Francisco (map).
- When do we play?
- Every Wednesday night through the summer (while we have enough daylight), meeting at 6:15pm.
- Who are AWTC members?
- AWTC members are single people who enjoy playing mixed tennis doubles and having a home cooked meal
with friends afterwards. We have about the same number of men and women and ages ranging from
mid-20s to over 65.

- AWTC members should be unmarried, play tennis at least the 2.5 level (refer to NTRP
rating categories), and be 21 or older.

- Membership is $170 for the season.
- What are my membership dues paying for?
- Membership fees cover the cost of the court reservations at the Golden Gate Park Tennis Complex,
and the meals and beverages served at the dinners. For $10/week, that's not a bad deal --
where else can you get two glasses (or more) of wine and salmon for dinner at that price?
The membership dues will not pay for events outside of the regular tennis play (e.g.trip to Monterey).
- How long is the season?
- The season generally runs for sixteen to seventeen weeks from May through mid-August. See calendar
for more details.
- What is the gender ratio?
- In order to ensure mixed doubles is possible, the club aims to have a balanced female to male ratio.
- How do I join?
- The first step is to fill out the registration form which will put you on our email list. Next, attend one of the Round Robins (see calendar for when these are planned) to meet new and prospective members and get a feel for the club.
- What can I do with this site?
- Once you become a paid member, you will be able to login and check out the roster of members, the current state of the ladder, send messages to other members, and update your own profile information.
- Why so many pictures of Monterey?
- For the past several years, the club has planned a trip to Monterey after the end of regular season play.
After a grueling season of competing on the tennis ladder or for top chef in the kitchen, this
has been a fantastic way to just relax, play some tennis, eat well and just enjoy hanging with the group.
While this is not covered by the membership dues, members can expect a discount, and it will be
priced to just cover cost.
- Who can I email to find out more about the club?
- Send an email to if you want would like to contact us and learn more.
